Calibro 35 Vs L.A.
?
Since 2007, Calibro 35 have been redefining cinematic funk, blending murky grooves, hypnotic rhythms, and urban psychedelia.
Sampled by Dr. Dre and JAY-Z and sharing stages with Roy Ayers, Sun Ra Arkestra, Thundercat and Robert Glasper, they?ve carved a reputation as one of the most exciting independent bands on the planet.
Fresh from composing the soundtrack for Francesco Zippel?s award-winning documentary Ellroy vs. L.A., Calibro 35 transform James Ellroy?s dark, noir-soaked Los Angeles into a visceral musical journey ? cinematic crime funk at its finest.?
Their new album brings the city?s dark, cinematic energy alive ? a hypnotic collision of crime, funk, and imagination.?
