Garth Brooks
Oaklahoma country legend Garth Brooks is the best-selling solo albums artist of all time in the United States with 162 million records sold, ahead of Elvis Presley, and second only to the Beatles.
He has received nearly every accolade that a singer, songwriter, recording artist and entertainer can receive, including the prestigious Kennedy Center Honor and the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song.
In the UK he scored early 1990s Top 20 hits with "Ain't Goin' Down ('Til the Sun Comes Up)", and "The Red Strokes", while in the USA Brooks is the first and only artist in history to receive nine RIAA Diamond Awards for nine albums certified at over 10 million sales.
He is the only seven-time recipient of the CMA Entertainer of the Year award.
In 2022, Garth was honored with the Kris Kristofferson Lifetime Achievement Award at NSAI's Nashville Songwriter Awards, and he was awarded Country Touring Artist of the Decade at the 2021 Pollstar Awards. He is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, the Musicians Hall of Fame, the Austin City Limits Hall of Fame, and the Grand Ole Opry.
