Northside
Formed in 1989, Manchester favourites Northside released their only album, Chicken Rhythms, on Factory Records in 1991, reaching no.19 in the UK charts.
The band became part of the 1990s Madchester baggy scene and are best remembered for their LSD-inspired track "Shall We Take a Trip" which was used as Granada's Soccer Night theme tune throughout the 1990s, as well as the Top 40 hits "My Rising Star", and "Take 5".
