Paddington Walking Tour

Paddington Walking Tour

Follow in Paddington’s pawsteps on this 2 ½ hour walking tour of London visiting book and film sites including the station he arrives at from Peru and Mr Grubers shop.

Pack your marmalade sandwiches, put on your best duffle coat for this guided Paddington Walking Tour from Brit Movie Tours.

On this two and a half hour walking tour, your professional English-speaking guide will lead you around Paddington station, through the surrounding area of West London including the charming Little Venice, Maida Vale, Notting Hill and Portobello Road, as well as exploring its history and filming locations with a marmalade loving bear.

We start in the iconic Paddington station, designed and created by engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel who built the Great Western Railway. The station then inspired the name of the kindly bear from Peru, created by Michael Bond in 1958, who was then adopted by the Brown family after meeting him at the famous station.

From there, we venture outside so maybe bring an umbrella or wellington boots in case of typical British weather. You will explore filming locations from the Paddington films, historic locations associated with Michael Bond and other historic figures like Alan Turing, as well as stroll through the peaceful streets and beside the canals of Little Venice.

As part of the walking tour, there will be a short bus journey, so each member of your party will need either an Oystercard, contactless card or a Travelcard valid to travel on the day of the tour in Zones 1-2. Children aged 11 and under travel for free.

There are no scheduled bathroom breaks on route, but toilets are available for free in Paddington station on Platform 1 and available at the end of the tour –just ask your guide.

The Paddington Tour concludes outside Alice’s Antiques, otherwise known as Mr Grubers Antiques Shop from the Paddington films. From there, you are welcome to go shopping inside (kindly remove any backpacks so we don’t knock anything over), or take a wander around Notting Hill’s famous antiques market and street food vendors (weekends only). If you have any questions regarding what to do in London, where is good to eat, and the best sights to see, just ask your guide. They will happily guide you further.

As an added bonus, customers are treated to a 10% discount in the Paddington shop at Paddington station. Discount is only valid on the day of the tour. Please remember to present it at the checkout.
