R.M.F.C. is the recording project of New South Wales? Buz Clatworthy. Buz Clatworthy seemingly writes songs with natural born ease, both unfussy and hyper catchy. Since 2018 R.M.F.C. have released a slew on 7?s on Anti Fade, Total Punk and Goodbye Boozy and 2023?s debut full-length ?Club Hits?. This album gained energy and charm from both punchy songs and subtly, with each song moving R.M.F.C. forward, whilst holding something memorable. Since then Clatworthy has continued to push himself creatively through singles, which feels like the smart play. He is allowed the freedom to experiment and express without really having to harken back to any trace of his beginnings of automaton-inflected, fast-paced wormy punk from his youth. Most recent 7? ?Ecstatic Strife? dips its mug into the punch bowl of what?s best about New Zealand?s ?80s jangle pop scene, with Clatworthy?s assured drumming keeping it on edge.
