SHABBA?s Soul Fire night proudly presents the mighty TRANSGLOBAL UNDERGROUND at Walthamstow Trades Hall on Saturday 19 September! Transglobal Underground Seen as one of the UK's most influential and enigmatic musical acts. Emerging from the early 1990s dance scene, they evolved into a festival favourite, club phenomenon, pop group, production team, and ever-changing collective. They first broke through with the club classic 'Temple Head', fusing bhangra, indie, Madchester and dance music into a sound unlike anything else at the time. They went on to help pioneer a new genre, blending club grooves, dub, rock, bhangra, digital sounds and global influences across a series of acclaimed albums. Renowned for collaborations with artists including Natacha Atlas, Page & Plant, Trio Bulgarka and Fanfara Tirana, their best-known releases include Dream of 100 Nations, Moonshout and Walls Have Ears. More than 30 years on, Transglobal Underground continues to captivate audiences across Europe, remaining a vital and influential force in global fusion music. SHABBA DJs Throughout the night and till close at 1am, the SHABBA DJ collective will be spinning a complementary soundtrack of deep cuts and well known bombs from their vaults of music.
