Asha Banks
St. Albans actress and singer Asha Banks began her career as a child actress in the West End, cast as young Éponine in the long-running musical Les Misérables at the age of seven, before going on to star in 1984, Annie, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole Aged 13¾, The Boy in the Dress, and Spring Awakening.
Her films include The Magic Flute and My Fault: London, but she is probably better known for her roles in the CBBC series Rebel Cheer Squad and the BBC Three series A Good Girl's Guide to Murder.
Inspired by Joni Mitchell, Nora Jones and Jack Johnson, her beautiful guitar-led folk pop songwriting has been compared to Lizzy McAlpine and Bon Iver.
