Ballet Flamenco de Andalucia - Tierra Bendita
For aficionados and newcomers alike, be transported to the heartland of Flamenco
Tierra Bendita, which means Blessed Land in English, explores the most unique and picturesque corners of Andalusia. Flamenco is woven into Andalusia?s cultural fabric as its historical home in the heart of southern Spain. From this comes a performance of iconic songs and dances that blend tradition with modernity.
Directed and choreographed by Patricia Guerrero (also directed Pineda), Tierra Bendita highlights the younger generation of artists. In an epic performance, 15 dancers take to the stage, supported by vocalists, guitarists and a percussionist. Witness a carefully crafted, nuanced work that is innovative while respecting the traditional form ? this is not like any flamenco you?ve ever seen before.
Each Andalusian territory developed its own flamenco forms and styles, influenced by the landscape, people and history. Tierra Bendita is a tribute to the universal heritage that captivates people around the world.
