Put it this way: if Lana Del Rey was (in) a rock band, it would sound like Black Honey. Brighton's bad-ass alternative pop-rockers are quite Lush-ish. You might even say they're Lush-ous, only a bit classicist, less 4AD than Telstar. They blend, or rather create a burning pyre out of, girl-group pop and shoegazing guitar noise. They are fans equally of FX pedals and the lasting impact of a simple melody.

They've travelled the world and released three Top 40 albums - two of which even made the Top 10; they've graced the cover of the NME and become the faces and soundtrack of Roberto Cavalli's Milan Fashion Week show; smashed Glastonbury and supported Queens of the Stone Age and IDLES all without compromising a shred of the wild, wicked vision they first set out with.

Exploring everything from womanhood, to identity and power, their music revels in the rich history of pop culture, throws a wink to its rock-and-roll heroes, but ultimately (and in true Black Honey fashion) it stands on its own two feet.
