Be it on her more minimalist, acoustic folk-leaning 2009 debut album Me Oh My or the critically acclaimed, liquid-riffed follow-up LPs, the Cardiff-based singer-songwriter from Penboyr, Wales has always resisted pigeonholing, walking the tightrope between krautrock aloofness and heartbreaking tenderness; deadpan served with a twinkle in the eye, a flick of the fringe and a lick of the Telecaster.

Singing in both English and Welsh, she first gained public attention when she supported Gruff Rhys (of the Super Furry Animals) on his 2007 solo UK tour. She has since played Glastonbury, Latitude and the Green Man Festival, and appeared as a guest vocalist on Neon Neon's 2008 single "I Lust U".
