Diarra Walcott-Ivanhoe Trio
Diarra Walcott-Ivanhoe is a pianist and composer from North London whose lyrical improvisational style and challenging harmonic depth have marked him as a uniquely special musician. His compositions are distinct in their beautifully crafted melodies, filtering the array of sounds he was exposed to growing up such as soul, soca and R&B through the lens of contemporary jazz.
His trio (Tom Sheen on Bass, Luke McCarthy on Drums, himself on piano), help bring to life these compositions through sensitive group interplay and exploration.
