Se?n Millar AKA Doctor Millar is, as many know, something of a legend. You may not so we're here to introduce you. ?An Irish national treasure. The poet Laureate of Dublin?s dark side? The Irish Times ?Ireland?s Greatest Songwriter? Hotpress Magazine ?Irelands best lyricist? The RTE Guide Se?n is a musician, writer and global award winning theatre composer for 'Shame' and the off-Broadway smash 'Silver Stars'. A musician's musician, and pretty much one of a kind. His shows are close-up and intimate by design. For him and for his audience. It works better that way. Jack Lukeman, Gavin Friday and Tom Dunne have sung Se?n Millar songs. Many musicians such as Francie Conway, Damien Rice and Pablo Nutini have highly praised his lyrical, vocal and musical style. From 80's post-punk iconoclast to the folksy balladeer of the '90s and the critically lauded music theatre composer of the 2K's, he is and always has, at heart, been simply a storyteller. A guy with a melody, a tune and, sometimes, a message. In 2026, he releases his 6th solo studio album 'I Am Vermin' (as usual some friends stepped in to help) and, fair to say, he's lost none of his sometimes uncomfortable if relatable edge. "Real music happens in space and time. Once you started faking that or affecting it, it loses something. We need to put that dark matter back in.
