Valisia Odell is a defining figure in Greece?s dark electro/minimal wave scene. Aristomenis Theodoropoulos is a visual artist and musician. DVPLVX creates danceable yet ominous synthpop ? driven by hardhitting drum machines, energetic sequences, and detached vocals. Merging glossy late-80s sounds with a touch of surrealism, the sound is both futuristic and familiar ? echoes of Darkwave, Minimal Synth, Hi-NRG, and EBM, but uncomfortably beyond the borders of any genre.
