Supriya Nagarajan - MELTWATER
MELTWATER is a 60-minute immersive performance exploring the fragile beauty and accelerating loss of the polar ice caps.
Created by composer and vocalist Supriya Nagarajan, the work weaves evocative Indian vocals with contemporary instrumentation, live performance, and striking field recordings of melting ice, flowing water, and shifting climates.
Set against a visual backdrop of glaciers filmed in their final stages, MELTWATER reflects environmental change. The performance brings together an exceptional ensemble of international artists across flute, harp, marimba, and electronic sound, creating a rich, textural sound that is both intimate and expansive.
There will also be a Q&A in the end with Dr Natasha Barlow who collaborated with the production from the outset.
