Gainsborough
Terra Spencer
Cinematic storytelling is the Hallmark of many great Canadian songwriters, but in Nova Scotian Terra Spencer's case it is charged with the 70's warmth of Elton John, Karen Carpenter and Jackson Browne.
Terra is a sparklingly intelligent writer, open hearted, insightful and eloquent. As natural as a poet as ever to put pen to paper and as beautiful as her melodies would imply.
Although her butterscotch voice, deft fingerstyle guitar, and gospel charged piano make her a formidable musician, it is her onstage ease and crackling East Coast wit that make each show feel like a personal conversation in a room of 50 or 500.
