Please take a moment to explore our menu. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Sam Every (little) Big Band - 'Celebration of Quincy Jones' With a legacy spanning several decades, and a catalogue of music that revolutionised the industrytime and time again, tonight, live at Soul Mama, the Sam Every (little) Big Band pays tribute to the iconic Quincy Jones. Featuring music spanning from his early work with the likes of Frank Sinatraand Ray Charles, to his chart-topping hits with the likes of James Ingram and Michael Jackson,the band will be performing brand new big band arrangements celebrating one of the most inspirational names in the business? After making their London club debut in 2019, they have obtained a 100% sell-out record at all oftheir Jazz club performances, making serious waves in the UK jazz industry. They are regularperformers at the Pizza Express Jazz Club in Soho, and have performed multiple sell-out showsat the world-famous Ronnie Scott?s Jazz Club in London?s Soho alongside dates at the RoyalAlbert Hall. They are a projects-based band, performing a variety of unique sets, entirely compiledof original arrangements for the band, featuring acclaimed UK singers. So far they have workedwith the award-winning Emma Smith, Iain Mackenzie, Katie Birtill, Freddie Benedict and manymore. The band also regularly appear on the festival scene, most notably frequently headlining theTwinwood Music Festival, in Bedfordshire In 2025, the band embarked on their 2nd UK tour, as repeat recipients of Arts Council Englandfunding. Performing new reimaginings of everything from Guilty Pleasures to TV Themes, the bandperformed at some iconic UK venues like Eastside Jazz Club (Birmingham) and LiverpoolPhilharmonic Hall (Liverpool). The band are also regular performers at the EFG London JazzFestival; opening the festival for Pizza Express Jazz Club in 2023 with UK singing starlet EmmaSmith, before most recently headlining the festival in 2024. Outside of live performing, during the 2020 lockdown, the band remotely recorded a 5-trackChristmas EP, named ?Christmas Is Here.? A mixture of original songs and arrangements by bandleader Sam Every, the EP was digitally released to critical acclaim. It quickly gained multiplelistens across BBC Radio and was used in several Christmas adverts in 2020 and 2021 acrossITV, Channel 4, BT Sport and SKY TV
