Founded in 2008, Wu Tiao Ren is an influential Chinese band formed by Ren Ke (?
?) and Mao Tao (??). With eleven albums to their name, they are widely
recognised as one of the defining voices of China?s independent music scene.
Blending folk and rock with distinct regional influences, Wu Tiao Ren?s music is
rooted in authenticity and cultural identity. Performing in both Mandarin and the
Haifeng dialect, their lyrics vividly portray small-town life, individuals, and the realities
of social change.
