What's On at the Alexandra Palace, London

Alexandra Palace is a Grade II listed building, originally opening in 1873. Also known as “The Palace Of The People” or “Ally Pally”, it is an entertainment, sports, recreation, exhibition, conference and education centre. It also homes an ice rink and nature reserve. Alexandra Palace broadcast the world’s first public high definition television service, broadcasting BBC news and Open University.

As a theatre, the Great Hall holds 7000, the West Hall holds 2500, the Victorian Theatre holds 850, the Panorama Room holds 800, the Palace Suite 360, and the Londesborough Room 170. A Heritage Lottery Fund awarded in 2017 re-established the theatre and re-opened the BBC Studios as a visitor attraction.

Alexandra Palace has hosted numerous events such as The Brit Awards, PDC World Darts Championship, Master Snooker Tournament, and MTV Europe Music Awards. Artists such as Pink Floyd, Bjork, Florence And The Machine and Panic At The Disco have also performed there.
