Below you will find what's on at Brixton House Theatre, London, just a 5 minute walk from Brixton train and underground station at the end of the Victoria Line.
Dating back to the 1930s and transformed into the Ovalhouse theatre space in the 1960s, it premiered Howard Brenton’s first play, Christie in Love, and the seminal theatrical production of A Taste of Honey by Shelagh Delaney, while David Hare was a stage manager and many young artists built their careers there including Pierce Brosnan, Stella Duffy, Tamsin Greig, Salman Rushdie, Emil Wolk, Stephen Rae, Jim Sweeney and Chris Bowler.
Reopened as the new purpose-built Brixton House, it now boasts two theatres, the 200 capacity Theatre 1, and 100 seat Theatre 2, alongside six studios.
