Canadian pop singer Alessia Cara began posting covers of songs on YouTube at age 13, before releasing her debut single, "Here", in 2015.
The song became a sleeper hit, reaching number five in the United States and peaking within the top twenty in Australia, Canada, Iceland, and New Zealand, reaching the UK Top 30, where it was eventually certified Platinum.
She has since scored other Platinum singles in the UK with "Scars to Your Beautiful", "How Far I'll Go", "Let Me Down Slowly" (with Alec Benjamin), and the Top 10 hits "Stay" (with Zedd) and "1-800-273-8255" (with Logic).
