Paul Carrack
As a solo artist and member of Ace, Squeeze, Roger Water's Bleeding Heart Band, and perhaps most famously, Mike + The Mechanics, among others, Sheffield vocalist Paul Carrack has enjoyed hit after hit, earning him the nickname by the BBC, "The Man with the Golden Voice."
As well as major hit of his own with "Don't Shed a Tear" in 1988, his vocals have graced million selling songs such as ‘How Long’ by ACE, ‘Tempted’ by Squeeze and the Grammy Award nominated ‘Living Years’, and by Mike + Mechanics, with whom he shared lead vocals alongside Sad Cafe's Paul Young from the mid-1980s to the Mancunian's premature death in 2000, after which he served as the band's sole lead vocalist until his departure in 2004.
