Yngwie Malmsteen
Widely recognised as one of the best guitarists of all time, Yngwie Malmsteen is a Swedish-American guitarist who first became known in the 1980s for his neoclassical playing style in heavy metal.
As a teenager he was heavily influenced by classical music, particularly 19th century Italian virtuoso violinist and composer Niccolò Paganini as well as Johann Sebastian Bach, and in a career spanning over 40 years he became, alongside Eric Claption, the only artist to have a signature Fender Stratocaster guitar released.
